Why is my heat pump not heating?

The usual causes are refrigerant charge loss, a fouled evaporator coil restricting airflow, a circulation or flow problem, or a drifting temperature sensor. Diagnosis needs live pressure and temperature readings rather than guesswork.

Can a leaking heat pump be repaired?

Often yes. Condensate drainage issues are simple to correct, and failed unions, valves and heat exchangers can usually be replaced. A corroded exchanger on an old unit sometimes makes replacement the better value.

What causes a heat pump to trip the electricity?

Most commonly moisture ingress into terminals or the controller, a failing compressor or fan winding, a faulty backup element, or damaged supply cable. The heat pump and element circuits must be tested separately.
